Classifying Fractions

A proper fraction is a fraction in which the numerator is less than the denominator. The digit 2 is less than the digit 7. Therefore, the answer is two-sevenths.

An improper fraction is a fraction in which the numerator is greater than or equal to the denominator. The digit 8 is greater than the digit 5. Therefore, the answer is eight-fifths.
