Math Fun Math Goodies A Guided Tour

I am Gisele Glosser, former "brick building" math teacher and founder of Math Goodies. My goal has always been to make math fun and connect it to the real world. My pre-service training was in high school math. However, most of my 6 years of teaching experience was in the middle school. I found there was more room for creativity and fun at this level. In 1998, I launched Math Goodies to share my creative teaching ideas with the online educational community. Today there are 500 pages of activities for students, educators and parents. (By the way, the name of this site came from one of my cooperative learning groups, who called themselves "The Glosser Goodies".) Below are some highlights of my math site. fun

My interactive lessons are in-depth learning modules that actively engage learners and provide them with immediate feedback. There are 32 free lessons on this site. My complete scope and sequence of 124 math lessons is available only on CD. Each lesson is carefully crafted to make math fun.

Each of my learning games is designed to be a fun activity for learning specific math concepts. Games titles are:
  • Circumference and String
  • The Decimal Dance
  • Geometry and a Shoebox
  • Integer Football
  • The Interactive Factor Tree
  • Percent Goodies
  • Perimeter and String

Educators from around the world have helped students in our moderated forums since 1999. Math homework might not be fun, but being a member of our homework community is! You'll also find forums for educators and parents.
Fun animation You'll find helpful articles on math education in my articles section. One article, entitled Creative Teaching Ideas, contains fun activities such as "Probability and the Three Stooges" and my personal favorite, "Median and the Middle Child."

I invite you to browse my site and have some fun!
