 Using Matrix Algebra to find the area of an image

The matrix A:
(2 -1)
(4 3)
is used to transform the rectangle R with vertices at points (0,0),(0,1),(4,1),(4,0)

1)Find the co-ordinates of the vertices of the image of R.
I worked them out to be: (0,0),(-1,3),(7,19),(8,16)

2)Calculate the area of the image of R.

Please help with question 2!

If you sketch the image, what figure do you get?
