A male honeybee is born from an unfertilized egg while a female is born from a fertilized egg. So, a male bee has only a mother but a female bee has both a mother and a father. How many total ancestors does a male bee have going back ten generations? (The bee's mother is the first generation back.) Appreciate any help.
