1) If f is a homomorphism of G onto G' and N is a normal subgroup of G, show that f(N) is a normal subgroup of G'.
2) If G is a group and N is a normal subgroup of G, show that if a in G has finite order o(a), then Na in G/N has finite order m, where m divides o(a).
I'm completely lost. Please help. |

One thing you shoud notice is that this area really isn't for Linear Algebra or Abstract Algebra. If these questions are appropriate on this website, it would be down in miscellaneous, I would think.
We don't want to scare the young people, do we?! |
