 Posted - 09/30/2007 :  15:37:49 Write this in standard form.6.67810 to the 2 power I multiplyed 10 times itself twice and got 100Then I multiplyed 100 and 6.678My answer is 667.8 is this correct HELP!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS!

 Posted - 09/30/2007 :  23:52:01 Good work.Another way to look at this is how the decimal point moves with respect to the power of ten.*If the power is positive, the decimal point moves to the right the same number of places as the power of ten that you are calculating.Ex: 2.7183 * 10^3For this example, the decimal point will move three places to the right because 2.7183 is being multiplied by ten to the 3rd power.2.7183 * 10^3 = 2718.3*If the power is negative, the decimal point moves to the left the same number of places as the power of ten that you are calculating.Ex: 3.1416 * 10^-2For this example the decimal point will move two places to the left because 3.1415 is being multiplied by ten to the -2nd power.3.1416 * 10^-2 = 0.031416
