Describe the shape, center and spread of this distribution. Also, What is the percentage of these girls who ate fewer than two servings per day?
I said the spread was from zero to eight servings of fruit per day and the graph is right skewed. It looks like there are 15 people who eat zero fruit per day and 11 who eat one. So I got 26/74 or about 35%. Am I correct? What is the center of the graph and what is the easiest way to find it on these histograms?
Looks to me like you are right about the percentage of people who eat 0 or 1 servings a day. Since there are a total of 74 people here, what section has 74/2= 37 below and 37 above? Looking at the first three sections, 15+ 11= 26< 37, 15+ 11+ 15= 42> 37. Looks like the 37th person is in the 2 servings per day group- that's where the center is.
