Can you please help? I know how to write
0.00283 in word form. You write two-hundred eighty-three thousandths.

I do not know how to write 17.39625
It is the numbers right after the decimal that confuse me.

As far as I know above is incorrect.

two hundred ans eighty-three thousandth = 283/1000 = 0.283

I do not know how to write 17.39625

5 decimal places is hundred thousandths ... so it would be two-hundred eighty-three hundred thousandths

seventeen and thirty-nine thousand six hundred twenty-five hundred thousandths

It is the numbers right after the decimal that confuse me.

in general ...
1 decimal, tenths
2 decimals, hundredths
3 decimals, thousandths
4 decimals, ten thousandths
5 decimals, hundred thousandths
6 decimals, millionths
and so on
