I have this one and I keep getting confused:

abcd-ef=g solve for b

add gf to both sides of the equation.

abcd = g + ef

Now divide both sides of your equation by acd.

b = (g + ef)/acd

To solve for a letter means to isolate the letter on one side of the equation.

Isolate terms containg 'b'

abcd - ef = g ('f' does not have any terms containg 'b' - so it needs to be eliminated from Left-hand-side)

abcd - ef + ef = g + ef

abcd = g + ef

Now you have to furthe "isolate" 'b' by dividing both sides by 'acd'
