T O P I C    R E V I E W sallyp Posted - 05/12/2009 : 12:50:06 I am new to this sort of problem and need some help.Mary got a 24/60 on his first test and 32/40 on the second. Billy 35/70 and 54/60, Joey 27/90 and 45/50. which kid improved the most and by what percentage? Here is how I tried to answer: Mary 24/60= 0.4 and 32/40=0.8 Bily 35/70= 0.5 and 54/60 =0.9Joey 27/90= 0.3 and 45/50=0.9It seems that Joey improved the most. Am I going about this the right way? How can I find out who improved most and by what percentage? Thanks. 1   L A T E S T    R E P L I E S    (Newest First) royhaas Posted - 05/12/2009 : 13:29:46 I would agree that Joey improved the most, both on an absolute and relative scale. He went from 0.3 to 0.9, which is an absolute increase of .6, but as a percentage increase it is 100*(.9-.3)/.3, or 200 percent.
