Welcome to the Math Goodies Homework Help Forums, where volunteer educators from around the world help students with specific math problems. Please read and follow the rules listed below.

  1. Neopets, contest and take-home exam questions will not be answered.

  2. Posts are routinely deleted. Due to the high volume of messages, posts are archived after 3 days. Archived posts (indicated by the A on the main forums page) are deleted after 15 days. Inactive accounts are deleted after 30 days, so be sure to login each time you visit.

  3. Search our Forums before you post to see if your question has already been answered.

  4. Post a specific question. Type the entire question including the instructions.

  5. Show your work. Post all work you've done so far (even if you think it's wrong) so we can see what you are having difficulty with.

  6. Communicate clearly. Use the buttons to the left of the message form to insert mathematical symbols. You can practice posting on our Testing Forum before posting here.

  7. Use sensible subject lines. Make your subject line specific to your problem. Avoid duplicate posts.

  8. Be patient. Forum volunteers are not expected to do your homework for you. Allow twenty-four hours for a reply before reposting your question.

  9. Manage your subscriptions. You can receive e-mail notification by subscribing to a specific topic. To cancel a subscription, login to your account, click on “My Subscriptions” (above the Logout button), and then click on ¨Unsubscribe”.
