-2x – y ≥ 4 Y ≥ -2 X ≥ -6

Posted - 03/27/2013 : 10:54:19 With these types of graphs, you get a region. Graph x=-6, y=-2 and y=-2x-4. Since you want x-6, the region is to the right of the line x=-6. Since you want y-2, the region is above y=-2. Now rearrange -2x-y4 to give y-2x-4, the region is below the line y=-2x-4. We include the lines because each of the inequalities is ''. What you get is a right triangle. If you want to find the domain, it is greater than or equal to -6 and less than or equal to the point where the line y=-2x-4 intersects the line y=-2. If you want to find the range, it is greater than or equal to -2 and less than or equal to the point where the line y=-2x-4 intersects the line x=-6.

Posted - 03/26/2013 : 18:16:42 First, graph the two inequalities, x-6 and y-2. Then graph -2x-y=4 (just the equality). It may help by rearranging it to y = -2x-4. Be careful with this one, remember if you include he inequality, it is now y-2x-4 Now, decide where the region that satisfies all the inequalities lies remembering that you include the boundary lines.

Graph the solution set of the system.

-2x-y4 y-2 x-6

*What I don't understand is how to use the t-chart to figure out the solution, I don't understand what numbers to start on the t-chart to figure out the solution. I know it looks like a T and you place the x on the top left and the y on the top right. Then you start to enter numbers below the line under each letter to find the solution, problem is that I don't understand what numbers do I start with?

Thank you for your help, ~Virginia

Is your problem one dealing with T-Numbers and/or T-Totals?
