April is Math Awareness Month. This year's theme is Mathematics and Sports. To celebrate MAM 2010, I have created 4 new WebQuests on Mathematics and Sports. The main topics are:
  1. Win-Loss Percentage - baseball, football and basketball
  2. Graphing Historical Data - The Olympics and Super Bowls
  3. Batting Average and Earned Run Average
  4. The NBA Draft Lottery
Other topics include percent change in number of home runs scored, field goal percentage, Pythagorean Expectation, Win Probability, Win Expectancy, Sabermetrics and Simpsons' Paradox. I invite you to explore these topics!

Thanks. Looks very good. I have FWed it to the coaches and other math teachers at my school.
I do have a couple students that are into sports. I hope they enjoy it.
Note (3-30-10). This is working out well since over half our school is gone for various activities this week.
