Posted - 03/21/2010 : 19:34:46 April is Math Awareness Month. This year's theme is Mathematics and Sports. To celebrate MAM 2010, I have created 4 new WebQuests on Mathematics and Sports. The main topics are:
- Win-Loss Percentage - baseball, football and basketball
- Graphing Historical Data - The Olympics and Super Bowls
- Batting Average and Earned Run Average
- The NBA Draft Lottery
Other topics include percent change in number of home runs scored, field goal percentage, Pythagorean Expectation, Win Probability, Win Expectancy, Sabermetrics and Simpsons' Paradox. I invite you to explore these topics!

Posted - 03/23/2010 : 12:31:22 Thanks. Looks very good. I have FWed it to the coaches and other math teachers at my school. I do have a couple students that are into sports. I hope they enjoy it. Note (3-30-10). This is working out well since over half our school is gone for various activities this week.
